British Designers at FashionCapital lands at W1
FashionCapital is delighted to announce it has secured a W1 head office, retail space and showroom. The central London location is based at Portman Village at 2 Seymour Place which hosts a two storey unit with the ground floor retail for consumers and the basement an exclusive showroom for press and buyers. FashionCapital will be hosting an exclusive launch event on the 16th December from 12.00 – 20.00 to celebrate the opening of the fourth retail unit, second showroom and new head office and a press day will be held on the 15th – more details to follow soon. Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship in Apparel Open Day
The Open Day hosted by Fashion Enter, Skill Set, College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London and National Apprenticeship Scheme at the Factory and the Workshop was a resounding success with over 100 apprentices in attendance in hope of securing one of the 15 positions available in the first cohort of the first London based Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship. Representatives from Asos.com presented to the group about the organisation and CSR activities and are delighted to be involved in the groundbreaking qualification.
The Clothes Show
At the end of the Clothes Show Live, the FashionCapital.co.uk Boutique saw a truly fantastic event having attracted the largest audience yet and despite the continued dismal economic state of the UK, an extremely successful event was had by all. The Collection
The Collection returns with a Winter Special spectacular at the Amika nightclub in London on the 23rd December to showcase designer’s festive party collections. The show is set to be another electric performance with dancing models, a fabulous atmosphere and of course outstanding collections. Britsih Designers Collective at Bath Christmas Wish List
The BrandAlley Bespoke Collections
Following the highly successful Little Black Dress project with BrandAlley, we would now like to introduce BrandAlley Bespoke Collections. This is a brand new monthly competition; the theme for the first of these is ‘The Perfect Blouse’.
These collections will be part of BrandAlley’s ‘Le Lab’, a portal for new designer talent.
So get creative and start designing. For each monthly competition, a panel of experts will judge all entries. The ten winning designs will go on sale in the UK and France. PR provided by BrandAlley UK and France will support these sales.

Real Models and Casting
Books are now open for a limited space of time. So if you are an aspiring model please contact syreeta@fashioncapital.co.uk. We will be holding a model casting this month looking for models 5’6 and above size 8-10 ideally with catwalk experience however if you have no experience you may be considered.
