Today will see the official launch of FashionCapital's new Health and Beauty section which will grow considerably over the next few weeks due to a fantastic team of expert contributors.
Last week we introduced you to international make up artist Eryca Freemantle who is taking on the role of FashionCapital's beauty expert. Expect to see great things from Eryca, ranging from beauty competitions with exclusive prizes to informing you of the new trends in the industry, the dos and the don'ts, the must haves and the must leave alones.
Jessica Petelin, FashionCapital's very own Beauty Round Up reporter, will be taking on a much more prominent role within the beauty section.
Jess runs a market research and consultancy company called FashionBarn which specialises in trends and insights in health & beauty, fashion & retail and the female consumer.
Jess is now set to write her own beauty blog exclusively for FashionCapital.
‘I will be writing about new and fab beauty products coming out as well as reviewing treatments for FashionCapital readers. I also hope to introduce beauty trends and get readers to write in with their make-up and skincare questions'.

Retail News – is Fashion Enter bucking the trend?
The demise of the high street continues into 2009 with news that more than one in seven British retail sites, or about 135,000 outlets, will be unoccupied by the end of the year as growing numbers of shops are driven out of business by the economic downturn, researchers Experian said on Tuesday.
Yesterday saw the very last day of trading for high street favourite Woolworths and this morning top retailer Marks and Spencer reported a like-for-like sales decline of 7.1 per cent in the 13 weeks to December 27, and announced plans to cut more than 1,200 jobs and close 27 stores. On a much more positive note Fashion Enter is delighted to report a 150% increase in like for like sales during the last 6 months. This is attributable to working with leading etailer asos.com and Topshop Concession, a strong increase in sales at both the Croydon and Barking boutqiues and a satisfactory increase in slaes on websites such as www.enter-boutqiue.com. We have also recently expanded in the South West, Kingston upon Thames and opened our own production unit, The Workshop. It really does seem that Fashion Enter is bucking the trend of retail downfall!
Boutique Pick of the Week
As the longest and supposedly most depressing month of the year settles in, not even the blanket of beautiful sparkling snow coveting the nation can transpire the bliss of surpassed festivity so Enter Boutique presents to you a fabulous mini dress guaranteed to brighten up your day and any passers by. Not only can you strut your stuff in this gorgeous shiny layered bandeau dress in one of the most prominent colours featured throughout 2008 and set to continue into the New Year, the delightful waist detail will detract from any excess Christmas weight we may have incurred over the holidays. Head to Enter Boutique and shed some shimmer into your January in this stunning dress by Bellanina for £35.
Until next time, have a great week All the team at Fashion Capital x
