International Fashion Fusion judged by asos.com and designer Jessica Ogden
Last week The Workshop had the great opportunity to host Jamaican born Madras designer Jessica Ogden and asos.com Head Buyer Caren Downie and Head of Design Sarah Wilkinson as they judged the International Fashion Fusion entries. ITN was on location to catch all the excitement during the process. Take a look.
With the wide variety of entries received decision making was difficult but eventually the judges were able to narrow the list down to ten finalists. During the selection process research, skill and entrants passion for design were all taken into concideration.

‘The Collection’ in association with FashionCapital and Edge Models
Entitled ‘The Collection’, the club nights with FC and Edge Models are set to launch next Thursday on 15th April at Vendome nightclub in Mayfair. We have a fantastic selection of up and coming designers showcasing to London’s most fashionable and the night promises to be an eclectic mix of cutting edge fashion and of course cocktails!

Clothes Show London – Earls Court – 25th – 27th June 2010
The largest fashion and beauty event in the world is fast approaching and FashionCapital is delighted to be apart of it once again. Taking up prime position next to Carnaby Street the FC boutique will showcase a selection of up and coming designers in fashion today and spaces are filling up fast!
Can all designers who have secured their stand please ensure all information, images and logos are emailed to jenni@fashion-enter.com as soon as possible. This ensures maximum exposure on both FashionCapital and the Clothes Show London website before the event in June.

British Designers Collective
The British Designer Collective pop up shop in Bicester Village has now been open a week and what a resounding success with consumers it has been! Best sellers include Erdem, who recently won the British Fashion Council Fashion Fund, Louise Amstrup and Felder and Felder who have almost sold out! Julien MacDonald has also sold some high value pieces. Overall a fantastic start especially with one sale totalling over £2000!

FashionCapital heads to Brazil!
On the 26th April 2010, FashionCapital will be jetting off to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, for the Minas Trend Preview. The Minas Trend Preview is similar to London Fashion Week but with more emphasis on travelling to designer’s showrooms as well as watching the catwalk shows. The three day trip is made up of visits to Fashion shows, showrooms and meetings. We are going to be reporting back to you on a daily basis with the latest designs from Brazil. Brazil’s economy has been a little rocky for a long time and we want to give these talented designers as much exposure as possible.
The Showroom – calling womenswear designers
This Friday, 9th April, sees another important meeting at The Showroom where a selection of womenswear collections will be presented. Update from asos.com Head Buyer at The Showroom
The Showroom was visited by Head Buyer for womenswear brands for ASOS last Thursday for a meeting set up to see the high summer womenswear collections. The Showroom has never looked so good with so many of our fantastic designer collections on show. The meeting went exceedingly well with the buyer seeing our best designers and giving great feedback. There is talk of another design brief project in partnership with ASOS and Fashion Enter. Last year we did the jacket design brief project that saw Simon Wang become a bestseller with his gold, peaked shoulder ensemble. Maybe some of our designers will follow suit and shine in this next project so watch this space for details.
