Hanging it all together for the fashion industry

NEWSLETTER

Welcome back and happy 2006. Apparently yesterday was the gloomiest work day of the year….is today any better!!

We have come back to a horde of applications for profile  which is on 12th and 13th February at

Tobacco Dock with TBC.

To register your design applications please click here and to find out more information please click here. The two day event is highly subsidised at only £500 (plus VAT) and £600 if you are selected for the catwalk. This compares to typical prices of £3,000 plus. We are delighted to be collaborating with TBC which is very well established and is a major event for the big brands such as Levi and Diesel.

www.fashioncapital.co.uk has gone through the roof and we are particularly pleased with the increase of designers now on the boutique site. When we have such a high volume of GENUINE traffic on the site all I can say is be careful of cheap imitations. We are receiving complaints from some of our designers who are being harassed by other on-line boutique companies to showcase on their sites. Naturally we have taken this as a compliment (!) but we are aware of the companies involved and we are watching!!

On-line shopping is the way to go. During the Christmas period 25 million customers will have spent £5billion with online shopping. The big players such as e-Bay and Amazon head the list of the e-retailers but confidence with internet shopping is growing month on month.

We currently have a high demand for one-to-one mentoring at LFF so if you are one of the 70 plus designers patiently waiting we will get to you!  There is a host of business support out there offering generic business advice but we are amongst handful of companies that offer practical business support but also product development too.

We have some fantastic success stories behind us and I would just like to acknowledge a few names now that have also continued to grow phenomenally since showcasing at Profile.
