NEWSLETTER

Dear all,

FashionCapital is about to embark on a new eco friendly project in search for creative and inspiring eco bag designers. Based in Croydon, we are saying “no” to plastic and “yes” to re-use and we want you to join our Eco-chic movement.

We are looking for inspirational and environmental designs which can be used on a series of re-usable bags which will be sold across Croydon later this year. If you think you are up for the Challenge then submit your design on a piece of A4 plain paper.

BBC London want Radio Interview

In a development to the South African delegation visiting London in May 08 organised by FashionCapital, BBC London are set to conduct a unique interview across seas to be aired on BBC radio next week. The Pen Pal exchange programme set up between Eastbury School students and the fashion students at Project Gateway in South Africa have proven to be extremely inspirational. The caring young people are putting pen to paper to befriend some of the world’s most unfortunate people. The BBC will speak exclusively to the students in South Africa to get their opinion of this fantastic project.

FashionCapital continues its series of Understanding the Fashion Industry seminars at Brittons School in Havering with a highly talented group of students.

Jennifer Holloway, Director said: 'We have done many designer T-Shirt competitions in the past with a cross section of schools and colleges. Absolute credit to the 98 pupils at the school today. The pupils were divided into 15 brands and each brand developed their own logo and style.’

There were some highly creative logo’s and branding concepts such as Identity, Diamonds and Pearls and Seven. Well done to all the students who actively participated.
