Hype X Pokemon

24-09-2016

On Friday 23rd September, fans of Pokémon, a game that spans back to 1995 when it was created by Satoshi Tajiri, queued outside the Hype clothing store, Carnaby Street, as the two brands launched their collaborative collection with an in store party.

Blasting music loud and clear, a DJ ensured all queued outside could get a taste of what was yet to come when they finally reached the venue, whilst drinks were served and games including air hockey, and yes of course Pokémon itself, provided further entertainment.

Whilst this grabbed the attention of onlookers, inside attendees were more interested in the products available to them, making the hard choices of what to purchase.

Avid fans were keen to ‘catch them all’ and become proud owners of garments from the menswear collection which include t-shirts, jumpers, bags, hats and more.  Each piece featured Hype’s trademark logo as well as fictional creatures in a variety of colours.  Ranging from £15 – £45, customers were limited to 5 items each.

Since the launch of Pokémon Go, people of all ages from 5 – 55 have become obsessed and emerged in the game available to download on all mobile phone devices and so it comes to no surprise that not even 24 hours after the collection launched it is already at limited availability via the online store.
