Fashion Enter and ASOS.com are teaming up to launch an exciting project to put new and independent designers in the spotlight.  Designers are being called upon to create their interpretation of Autumn/Winter's hottest item, the jacket.

Statement jackets are invading catwalks with a vengeance. From Balmain's embellished, statement shoulder military number from the Spring/Summer collection to Alexander Wang's Autumn/Winter leather biker beauty, jackets are big business. Fashion forward, new season jackets will immediately update an outfit, whack a blazer over a pair of jeans to smarten them up, or a leather jacket over a floral dress to give a dressed down grunge feel.

Designers are being asked to design and sample a fabulous tailored jacket ready to launch for Autumn/ Winter. In September Fashion Enter and ASOS are launching this capsule jacket collection project with the aim of promoting and exciting an interest in new design talent. This is the designers chance to create their own statement jacket which really represents themselves and their designs. The good news is that though higher priced items will considered, the most important thing is that the jacket makes an impression. Buyers are more interested in seeing one amazing, striking jacket than five or six bog standard ones.

If you're interesting in taking part the deadline for designs and samples is the 9^th of July, you will also be required to have sent a specification sheet with a photo attached to hayleigh@fashion-enter.com by this time. There's not a lot of time so get going and let those creative juices flow. The rest of us will have to wait patiently till the launch in September to see what the designers come up with!
