“Best of Britannia is proud to announce that British television personality June Sarpong MBE is joining as an ambassador for BOB London 2016, and launching her new collection, Ldny.”
Founded by Antony Wallis, Esme Lynch and Joe Pidgeon, BOB is a celebration of more than 200 British brands and will this year be held from the 30th September – 2nd October at Bloomsbury Square. The event will showcase the best brands and apparel including footwear, accessories, jewellery, toys, cycles, homewares and food and drink.
Among the very best British-made apparel, June Sarpong MBE will launch her new collection LDNY, a new collection with designer Daniella Helayel in partnership with the United Nations Trust Fund to end violence against women. Working closely with Fashion Enter to provide a number of apprenticeship vacancies for those seeking experience and knowledge within design development, June says:
“I am delighted to be an Ambassador for Best of Britannia and to be utilising its platform to launch Ldny, my new fashion social enterprise. The ethos of Ldny is to empower and inspire through the power of fashion. We are also proud to be working with Fashion Enter. All of these elements are what makes our partnership with BOB a match Made in Britain.”
Jenny Holloway, Director of Fashion Enter – who will be setting up shop at BOB, pattern-cutting and machining Ldny product at the show itself – says: “Over the last two years we have watched Best of Britannia grow tremendously in terms of exhibitors and footfall, so naturally we are excited to be collaborating this year. It’s even more special for us as we are working with the fabulous June Sarpong MBE who will be launching her beautiful collection. It’s time for the country to fully support the makers of the nation.”
