Gerber Technology Partners Fashion Enter’s Factory & Training Academy
26-01-2025
Fashion Enter, sister company to FashionCapital, was founded by former M&S buyer Jenny Holloway in 2006 and over the years has become the UK’s largest provider of technical fashion apprenticeships. Fashion Enter trains new skilled cutters, sewing operators and pattern designers. Furthermore Fashion Enter produces fashion samples for ASOS.com, creates and manufactures collection lines with their factory for Tesco, Harrods, and Phase 8 as retailers seek to introduce more ‘Made in Britain’ ranges to the high street.
“We are very excited about the integration of AccuMark software plus digitizing solution into the curriculum of Fashion Enter and look forward to supporting Fashion Enter in a successful partnership ”, said Yvonne Heinen-Foudeh, Gerber’s Marketing and Communication Director for the EMEA region. “Teaching the future generation of pattern makers as well in the UK with the global benchmark for CAD is integral part of our strategy to empower the link between education and the industry, where Fashion Enter/Fashion Capital is the ideal partner.”
Jenny Holloway added: “Over the last six months we have expanded our Fashion Studio service by 28 new accounts including Huntsman and Gormley and Gamble. The pattern cutting team headed by Lauren Loftus and supported by an excellent six-man team of pattern queens is flying. The experienced members of our team such as Lauren and Debbie have excellent previous Gerber experience so I have to listen to the experts! We have therefore invested into the latest Gerber systems to ensure that the fine accuracy of detail is embedded into our pattern and grading services.”
Gerber Technology has developed partnerships with over 500 universities, technical and fashion schools across the world, providing them with solutions and expertise to help the teachers prepare students with the skills they require for the workplace.
We are now delighted to confirm the Gerber / Fashion Enter courses will be led by two leading industry experts who have a combined Gerber experience of 35-years. The first course: Gerber Accumark V10 for Beginners, is a 15-hour course over 6-week period, is excellent for beginners or Gerber users that want to brush up on their skills. Places are strictly limited to five per course.
