28-04-2022

Fashion-Enter & the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) in collaboration with the Textile Services Association (TSA) held its first ever PPE Workwear Repair Training course on the 26 & 27th April 2022. This two-day course enables PPE/workwear quality teams to develop a stable and upskilled group of repairers.

The first group of ten participants got to learn all about all about PPE regulations, stitching and repairs using the facilities at the FTA in Haringey, London. On completion all participants received a competence certification.

Fashion-Enter Ltd CEO Jenny Holloway said: “We’ve been working with the TSA for the best part of two years and it’s great to see how well received the course was yesterday. This two-day course provides practical industrial stitching skills for complete beginners up to experienced machinists. Industry working together for higher level skills! Marvellous!”

Participant Feedback included:

“I can now do all the repairs at my job and I can teach my peers. This was an amazing opportunity to learn these skills that I can use at home as well.”

“I learnt how to thread, sew, patch and identify repairs. We will now have extra cover when our seamstress is on holiday and will make our repairs more efficient.”

“I will be able to get more involved with the repairs team and I feel I have gained a lot more knowledge and skills.”

“All the staff were fantastic, especially Ana, she was lovely!”
