Fashion Retail Academy Visit the FTA

12-10-2016

On Wednesday 12th October 2016, the FTA welcomed the Fashion Retail Academy (FRA) to the factory, enabling the students to gain first hand insight into how a manufacturing runs and the stages of production for a garment.

Founded in 2005 the FRA provides numerous fashion courses allowing students to gain in depth knowledge of fashion retail as well as practical experience in the live environment.  Today Fashion Enter were able to provide just that to the group of students.

Providing a tour of the factory after an introduction of the company led by Jenny Holloway, the group were able to see how each stage of the production of a garment is carried out.  Starting in our fabric studio, were we stock a wide range of fabrics, to our pattern cutters and seamstresses who put together each piece of material to form a highly detailed garment for retailers including ASOS.com and M&S, the group were amazed at exactly how much detail and effort goes into just one dress.
