Level 3 Apprentices Visit ASOS and Gütermann

 

On 9th May the Level 3 apprentices visited global etailer ASOS.com headquarters. 

The tour provided an overview of how each of the different areas of the business operate including the E-commerce operation and sampling room right through to styling and promotion of the garments before they reach the consumer. 

“It was really interesting seeing a different working environment and all of the different job roles there.” – Jade

“We learnt about ASOS Ecommerce operations and how everything from sampling and styling is done in house. It was a very insightful trip.'” – Melissa


Following their successful trip to ASOS.com, the Level 3 cohort received a talk from Gütermann, the company chosen as the best sewing thread in the UK 2015. The learners were taught all about the different types of threads they sell to improve the quality of garments. 

“I have learnt the uses of different threads, importance of tension and cause / solutions for puckering. Very informative!” –  Roxanne
