LFW SS25: Designed By DERRICK – Made by FEL’s Fashion Studio

At Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) we are in a unique position to proactively support designers with production for their collections. Whether it’s a show sample or small run FEL’s Fashion Studio team are, and we won’t hold back here, exceptionally talented at making garments. As FEL’s CEO Jenny Holloway will often say to client, “your success is our success”, and the last two collections from DERRICK exemplifies this.
DERRICK is the brand name for Luke Derrick’s predominantly menswear brand. A graduate from Central Saint Martins, Derrick gained skills and experience from the likes of Brioni, Alexander McQueen, Dunhill, Savile Row and Rapha. A newcomer to the London Fashion Week (LFW) schedule he has already attracted industry attention and gained British Fashion Council NEWGEN support, which offers funding, showcasing opportunities and mentoring.
At his recent LFW SS25 the press were full of praise, a notoriously hard crowd to crack, Derrick’s nonchalant take on tailoring looked contemporary and cool. As LFW celebrated its 40th anniversary prominent industry figures were asked to pick out a highlight image from the last four decades to feature in Le Journal Bleu, Dylan Jones, editor-in-chief at the Evening Standard said: “I think it’s always imperative to look forward with fashion, or else you get caught in a cycle of nostalgia, which is why I’ve chosen an image from Luke Derrick’s last collection (AW24/25) – he is a designer taking menswear into new territory.”
The Fashion Studio team are thrilled that Derrick’s designs are getting such a fantastic response, it’s a testament to not only his exceptional innovative design but to the skills of the team that bring his designs into wearable life.

For SS25 Studio Coordinator Molly Partridge attended Derrick’s NEWGEN catwalk presentation on The Strand, she said: “The show was incredibly atmospheric and a culmination of hard work from both Luke and the Studio team. Seeing the garments on the catwalk gave me a great sense of pride for our pattern cutters and machinists who assisted with the realisation of this Raincheck SS25 collection. Luke is a very gifted designer and we are overjoyed at the response to his work and success he is having, we are eagerly looking forward to what he designs next and how we can help bring these to life.”

Subtly inspired by London’s cultural melting pot, in terms of silhouettes, with the reality of dressing for a rainy summer in London, Derrick combines practical fabrics with tailored lines for a look that appears to be effortless. Brightening up his staple monochrome colour palette he evokes that summer feeling with pastels, purples and burnt orange. All of his designs, except for the knitwear, were proudly made at FEL’s Fashion Studio in north London.
