Jenny Talks Ethical Production at the Latest Edition of Fashions Finest

Fashions Finest is an event management company that specialises in the promotion and growth of diverse designer talent. A regular on the off-schedule roster during London Fashion Week (LFW), the Fashions Finest LFW event presents catwalk shows, an exhibition, an awards event and introduces industry professionals to impart invaluable advice regarding the industry and how to successfully develop a fashion business.

This season (AW18) our very own CEO of FashionCapital and Fashion Enter, Jenny Holloway, was invited to speak at the ‘Let’s Talk Fashion Business Session’ on the 17^th February. Her subject: ‘what exactly is an ethical factory’ touched on business sustainability, company structure, ethical working practices, quality control and having designs sampled and manufactured in the UK, this was followed by audience participation with a Q&A session.

Jenny comments: “It was a genuine delight to be welcomed to a very friendly Fashions Finest event; there was a good flow of attendees and lots of exhibitors with their collections that provided a contemporary twist in fashion today.

“The seminar was packed and a real mix of people from new start up designers to established brands and even a few people who are currently on courses. In any such seminars I always try and be as honest as possible. Everyone knows that fashion is not an easy industry but brands can, and are successful. At FashionCapital we really aim to ensure that brands realise that time is money from the get-go and they do not need to produce tens of garments and certainly never 100’s of garments. We much prefer our clients to create beautiful items and then produce to demand, which then minimises risk and protects cash flow.
