FashionCapital & Fashion Enter CEO wins Women In Business Award

FashionCapital & Fashion Enter has won this year’s London & South East ‘Women in Business Awards’ for the Social Enterprise category…

Now in its seventh year, the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards has grown from being purely regional into one of the most prestigious events in the calendar for professional women. The organisation, founded in 1999, supports women in their professional lives and celebrates and champions the role of women in the workplace.

Sponsored by HSBC this year’s event attracted the highest number of entries ever received. The shortlisted applicants in each of the categories were invited to attend the regional final at the Amba Hotel in London on 16 September. CEO Jenny Holloway attended the prestigious event with Fashion Enter’s Senior Development Manager Jenni Sutton.

On receiving the award Jenny said:

“Fashion Enter won the Social Enterprise category on Friday which was a real honour for the company. I actually get embarrassed when an award appears in my name as it’s really not me at all…it really is down to the entire team that makes Fashion Enter so strong.

“We have come such a long way in the last 11-years and it’s all about the people that make the strategy and vision work.

“The training we undertake is excellent because our Factory is working to the highest compliance standards of SMETA and Fast Forward audits. How can you effectively teach best standards in production, pattern making, stitching et al if you don’t actually undertake the work yourself. Today’s education has to be based on real work skills.

“I am so proud of the entire team and we really are unique and the team is so talented. So well done to everyone that’s involved in the company and thank you to Forward Ladies and HSBC for the award.”

All the regional winners will be invited to appear before a live judging interview panel in November, followed by the grand national final in Leeds on 1 December.
