Awards Month…

As we begin November Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) has been selected for not one, but two awards! Along with the Drapers ‘Fashion Supplier of the Year’ Award to be announced on 12th November, the team have been shortlisted for the Franco-British Business Awards ‘Small Business of the Year’. This recognition highlights the impact and innovation that small businesses bring to the Franco-British business landscape, winners will be announced at a Gala Ceremony on 27th November.

A huge congratulations to the incredible Fashion-Enter Ltd team – this double nomination is a true testament to the company’s creativity, innovation and FEL’s positive impact across the industry!
Fair Work and Supply Chains in the UK Garment Industry

Tomorrow, 6th November, FEL’s Founder and CEO Jenny Holloway (pictured) will be speaking at ‘Fair Work and Supply Chains in the UK Garment Industry’ event, organised by the University of Leicester, University of Nottingham, Transform Trade, and Highfields Centre, part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
She will join leading researchers, manufacturers, enforcement bodies, and workers for a day of discussion and insight at the Highfields Community Centre in Leicester. This event aims to shine a light on the future of UK garment manufacturing, exploring how fair work, effective auditing, and ethical supply chains can be achieved. Through interactive workshops, new research findings, and powerful visual storytelling via a photo exhibition, participants will delve into the realities of working and living in the UK garment industry and help shape a more sustainable, fair, and resilient manufacturing sector.
John Herrera’s Inspirational 1-Day Classes

FEL’s educational division – Fashion Technology Academy is thrilled to have fashion designer John Herrera as a visiting tutor. Feedback from his classes has been overwhelmingly positive:

Free Monthly Zoom Masterclass

Taking place Friday 21st November at 10am this months masterclass will discuss: The Secrets Behind Cost – Effective Sampling and Production for Aspiring Brands and Designers.

Through five comprehensive sections, aspiring fashion entrepreneurs will gain valuable insights and expert knowledge to navigate the complexities of sampling and production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Raquel de Carvalho Speaks at Fox Williams’ Fashioning Accountability Panel

We were proud to see Raquel de Carvalho, one of our talented designers based at the FC Designer Workspace, take part in Fashioning Accountability: Legal and Practical Insights on Sustainability and Traceability, an event hosted by law firm Fox Williams at The Mills Fabrica in London.
The evening brought together industry and legal experts to discuss how fashion businesses can approach sustainability and transparency within their supply chains. The panel featured Raquel de Carvalho, founder of her namesake knitwear label, and Imogen Lee-Savage from Margaret Howell, alongside Fox Williams’ legal specialists Stephen Sidkin, Partner and Chair of the Fashion Law Group, and Anisha Patel, Legal Director.
Fashion SVP – To Promote British Manufacturers

It’s great to see that Fashion SVP, taking place at Olympia London on Tuesday 18th – Wednesday 19th of November, is including a UK Pavilion to promote British craftsmanship, heritage, innovation, and sustainability.

London School and College Leaver Festival

On 18th & 19th November the London School and College Leaver Festival presents a two-day, fully interactive and immersive festival held to educate and inspire young London. Over 120 exhibitors/supporters will be drawn from across the UK and including employers, training providers, FE, HE and professional bodies – and that includes FEL’s Fashion Technology Academy.
