FEL Champions Innovation and Collaboration at Industry Stakeholder Meeting

14-08-2025
At the recent Apparel and General Merchandise Stakeholder Update Meeting (12 June 2025) organised by FastForwardUK, Fashion-Enter Ltd reaffirmed its active role in shaping the future of ethical fashion and UK garment manufacturing. Represented by Creative Director Beth Davy-Day, FEL joined a diverse group of industry leaders, academics, and NGOs to share progress and initiatives driving systemic change across the apparel sector.
Beth presented key updates from FEL’s work in Leicester, notably the success of the Leicester Made event. Drawing over 1,000 attendees, the showcase brought together 64 exhibitors, including local manufacturers, innovators, educators, and NGOs — a clear demonstration of the region’s manufacturing capabilities and commitment to ethical production. Plans are already in motion to expand the event to two days in 2026.
Beth also spotlighted two exciting FEL-led initiatives:
- THREADCHAIN – A new B2B and B2C digital platform dedicated to repurposing and selling deadstock, promoting circularity in fashion supply chains.
- UKSPF Grant Success – Funding secured to deliver upskilling programmes within existing factories, helping future-proof local manufacturing workforces.
FEL’s contributions sat alongside updates from other organisations tackling worker voice, international research, and labour market enforcement. Together, the group discussed challenges and opportunities in improving working conditions and transparency across the supply chain.
