British Fashion Council Launches Nationwide Talks Series for September’s London Fashion Week

14-09-2025
As part of its expanded City Wide Celebration (CWC) initiative, the British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced a brand-new talks programme, ‘At Home With’, presented by 1664 Blanc, Principal Partner of London Fashion Week. Taking place throughout September, the series will spotlight the cultural roots and regional impact of some of Britain’s most exciting fashion designers.

Running across Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and London, the talks will feature names including S.S. Daley, Patrick McDowell, Matty Bovan, Nadine Merabi, Barbour, and more. Open to the public, each event will explore the stories behind each designers’ work and how their local communities have shaped their creative journeys.
This nationwide series supports BFC’s new strategic direction to decentralise British fashion, celebrating talent across the UK and fostering greater public engagement. It also aligns with the BFC’s upcoming Fashion Assembly education programme launching in schools from 2026, marking a unified step forward in making British fashion more inclusive, accessible, and rooted in local identity.
