New Sales Manager to join Fashion Enter
Fashion Enter is delighted to introduce the latest member of the team Fiona Forrest who will be joining Fashion Enter as the Sales Manager. As ex Burberry Fiona has fantastic knowledge and experience of working with high profile brands and knows exactly what buyers are looking for. Fiona will officially be joining Fashion Enter on 18th June.
Hello my name is Fiona Forrest.
I am 42 years old and have a wealth of experience working in retail.
I have been extremely lucky to work with ‘high profile’ brands like SWAROVSKI, BURBERRY, WOLFORD and MONT BLANC.
I have a 7 year old daughter and have been busying myself with PTA activities like fund raising and event managing and organising.
I am looking forward to the next phase of my career with Fashion Enter as Sales Manager, working with Jenny Holloway and her experienced team.
Also looking forward to working with fresh new designers, helping to develop and deliver their brand to much respected retailers.

Dates for Business Workshops
Fashion Enter is running another series of their popular business workshops for fashion designers in 2012.
These courses have already helped launch a number of designer businesses as well as helping existing businesses improve.
The next series of six workshops starts in September 2012. They are being run at Fashion Enter’s new Fashion Studio at the University of East London (UEL), Docklands Campus.
Each Workshop starts at 9.30 a.m. and lasts about 5 hours (including breaks for lunch and tea/coffee).
You can attend the whole series or just the ones you need
The workshops are delivered by our Specialist Advisor, Nigel Rust (see profile on Fashion Capital website: Industry/Specialist Advisors).
Dates: Thursdays – September 13th, 20th, 27th, October 4th, 11th, 18th 2012
Price: Fashion Capital members = £60 per delegate per workshop;
Non-members = £75 per delegate per workshop.

Body scanning technology today – the options’
Following on from last month’s introduction to fit article by Alvanon, we have now been provided with an overview of the available scanning technologies on the market by Jeff Cheung, general manager Asia, Alvanon Hong Kong.
Scanning technology has improved radically in the last ten years, and today there are four main types of body scanning technology available – Laser, White Light, Millimeter Wave, and X-ray. Each type of scanner comes in different sizes and price, and is used for various purposes.

Designers of the future across Essex and East London battled it out, as their Creative fashion designs graced the catwalk at The Liberty Shopping Centre.
Abbie Dann age 17 from Havering College has beaten young designers across Essex and East London to take her place as The Liberty Fashion Designer of the year 2012.
Fashion Enter’s Retail Manager Syreeta Mcqueen judged the competition, “I have now worked for Fashioncapital.co.uk for the last six years and its amazing how many people in the industry now know what we do! That’s why I was so delighted and honoured to be asked to be a judge at the inspiring designer competition The Liberty Fashion Designer of the Year 2012. I was amazed at the talent. The winners were so young, they are truly the future of fashion and we need to offer all the support that we can to gain them exposure. I have already spotted two designers that I would be keen to mentor”.
All of the finalist’s designs were displayed in the Marks & Spencer, Romford store window throughout The Liberty fashion show weekend, for auction to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer trust and Rainbow Trust.
