Each designer will have a 10 min slot to present their samples and company literature to a panel of judges. To express your interest please email jenni@fashion-enter.com now!

This year Profile will be different!

Profile has been working closely with two clients this season. Debenhams and BrandAlley.

At this years Profile Debenhams will announce the two winners of their menswear competition and will then buy their collections for a Westfield store launch in Spring Summer 2012.

BrandAlley will also announce the winners of the Evening Black Dress Competition at Profile plus confirm the two final ladieswear designers to buy their collections for Spring Summer 2012

However what really makes Profile unique this season is a celebrity appearance!

We are delighted to confirm that Lauren Goodger, star of the BAFTA award winning hit series The Only Way is Essex, will also be launching her Laurent’s Way debut collection at Profile. This is guaranteed press and PR for all that attend and showcase at the Profile 10 year anniversary catwalk show.

Profile is an amazing event there to support the best of new and emerging designer talent. This season will be the best yet so please ensure your express on of interests are submitted for a pre-selection panel presentation on August 10th at the Workshop – Unit 5 Mavros House, 95 Vale Road, Haringey N4

Lauren’s Way

Lauren Goodger the main reality TV star from the BAFTA award winning series The Only Way is Essex has approached FashionCapital to create her own unique 35 piece collection which will be launched at Profile on 10th November!

Commenting on the launch of ‘Lauren’s Way’, Lauren Goodger said: “I have always loved fashion! This is why I am so excited about designing my very own Lauren’s Way collection, launching at the Profile fashion show on November 10th at One Marylebone. I always find it difficult to find the right colours, fit and designs in the shops today, so it’s great to be working alongside industry experts FashionCapital.co.uk to launch my own collection.’

The LW Collection is 100% British made at FashionCapital’s Workshop and Factory. Using highly skilled pattern makers and machinists the collection has been carefully designed to incorporate the highest quality levels and finishing. Lauren has a discerning eye for detail and she wants to ensure that every single is made to the highest possible standards of quality.

The latest from British Designers @ FashionCapital Bath

August and the wee city of Bath is awash with visitors and tourists. Those that visit the boutique will often ask if they can find us online so we are currently in the process of creating our own section on FCBoutique.co.uk – this should be ready mid-August and we are excited to join the instant world of e-tail.

We are also planning a sample / end-of-line sale in conjunction with other Bath independents at the end of August – if you are stocked at the Bath boutique and would like your pieces to go into this sale then please contact JoJo jojo@fashioncapital.co.uk and list the items and the prices that you would like to include. Unlike London sample sales are rare in Bath so we hope to publicize the weekend sale well and receive a good turn out. In order to compete with sales elsewhere please round your figures down e.g. £20, £40, £50.

London Fashion Week is looming and it is great to see some of our boutique regulars either showing on the catwalk, the BFC exhibition or off-schedule at the likes of Vauxhall Fashion Scout – keep your eyes peeled for Christian Blanken, Jean-Pierre Braganza, PPQ, Akong and Paolita at Somerset House this September.

Bath pick of the week – a Claudia Polo fedora in summer’s hottest shade – orange, £60-

More next week from the Georgian city.

Until then enjoy the sunshine,

The team at British Designers @ FashionCapital, Bath

FashionCapital says Goodbye to Emily!

Here at FC we both saddened and delighted to say farewell to Emily Tullett! Emily has been with FashionCapital for five years but after gaining a First in her Business and Management Degree the bright lights of New York City has beckoned and Emily has been accepted on a Post Graduate Certificate qualification on top of an internship with CitiBank! Whilst we are sad to say goodbye this is an amazing opportunity for Emily and we wish her all the success for the future!

‘When Emily told me she was to resign I am not afraid to say I had tears in my eyes!  Em has been with Fashion Enter for over four years and during that time Em has grown into am amazing individual and business women. The job in New York is just too good to resist I know but on both a personal and business level I will always remain a friends with Em.  Thank you for everything you have done and achieved Emily. Now go and show New York what you are all about and see you at Christmas!!’ Jenny Holloway, Director.

Made in Britain!

FashionCapital is now officially using the new Made in Britain Marque from Stoves. This new logo will mark all of our manufactured products as true products of the UK with skilled manufacturing taking place in our north London factory!

Earlier this year Stoves launched a national campaign to call for a standard Made in Britain marque to be applied to all products manufactured in the UK – this is a huge step forward for UK retailers and manufacturers – now a visual logo will set apart UK manufactured products from those made abroad.
