As the full on autumnal feeling takes hold, we can start looking briskly forward to Christmas and the incredible Clothes Show Live, the magical month is set to bring an end the year on a high. For both designer businesses and consumers alike, the largest fashion and beauty event in the world is the highlight of the year posing fantastic financial opportunities within the ultimate shopper’s paradise. Amidst the excitement, the FashionCapital.co.uk Boutique area is returning to take another 24 stands to continue providing designers with this huge opportunity to capture an audience of 185,000 hungry shoppers.

The internationally acclaimed Profile event will also be returning to the stage for members to engross the vast target market, and with leading fashion industry figure heads floating around the NEC including the likes of Hilary Alexander and Erin O’Connor poses more fantastic networking opportunities. Profile will showcase 10 of the very best new and emerging designers on the Image Catwalk each day of the 6 day event, being seen by over 30 000 consumers! This really is an opportunity not to be missed!

Fashion Enter’s How to Succeed in Fashion Today seminar
Last Wednesday the second Fashion Enter seminar on How to Succeed in Fashion Today took place at a central London location. The day consisted of the Director and team here at FE speaking about the company and services available as well as a series of guest speakers revealing their industry knowledge and expertise. Overall it was a highly successful day with over 15 new and emerging designers all soaking up the vital information and support needed to succeed in fashion today. The day also included a visit to The Workshop to meet with production manager Kosa and review the facilities there.

The purpose of these seminars is to enable new and existing members to fully understand all the services available to them and at the same time meet with industry experts speaking on a range of subjects from production to marketing to general business support.
The seminar will take place on a 6 weekly basis depending on availability. With the increase in membership costs this will be free for all new members and at a cost of £150 plus vat for non members. If you then however decide to become a member with us after the seminar you will just need to pay the remaining balance to total the payment of £399 plus vat for your yearly membership.

British Designers @ FashionCapital – Bath
October Update…
It’s been a month since we opened our doors at Milsom Place and the feedback has been fantastic.

The British Designers boutique concept is entirely unique to Bath offering great discounts from London Fashion Week designers on previous season pieces & samples alongside showcasing the next generation of fashion talent.
Style Tips from The image Consulting Company
Coming up this month the boutique will be participating in a Style Forum on Saturday 9th October. Headed up by fashion guru Emmeline Stevens the event will include talks on key trends, styles to suit your shape and a tour of the fashion retailers situated in Milsom Place. There will also be beauty makeovers, sushi nibbles, fizz and discount offers from a selection of the participating stores.

Bath Fashion Week
Joining in with the spirit Fashion Week we were asked by Milsom Place to create an installation in Unit 17 (opposite Jamie’s Italian). The result was a mock catwalk show complete with film footage from our featured designers. It provided a great opportunity to show visitors what the British Designers @ FashionCapital boutique is all about.

As the FCBoutique continues to attract customers crossing all corners of the globe, we are looking forward to a series of themed outdoor photo shoots to fit the festive season. We are holding an open screening session for models this Friday, so if anyone thinks they have what it takes to feature in a high fashion shoot for the homepage of the new online store please send images to Emily@fashioncapital.co.uk. The FCBoutique.co.uk has also been noticed by one of the elitist fashion mags and set to feature very soon… watch this space.
