The Designer Profile concession in TOPSHOP is well and truly alive and kicking! Following a totally inspiring meeting with Belinda Manfo yesterday Kiki (LFF boutique manageress and merchandiser extraordinaire!) and I went to visit the TopShop flagship store at Oxford Circus. It was buzzing there and I can see why TopShop sales figures are flying! The Designer Profile concession will be on SB2 – so trendy – this means sub-basement 2 and the concession is opposite the Bazaar area at the base of the escalator. A great prime footage location!
Press have been ringing up the office to find out details so fingers crossed for all the designers and good luck to the first three who will be on display from Sunday 3rd October.

A big thank you to Alexa Bender of www.marquise.de We have joined up with this web site and I am sure you will agree the site is absolutely fantastic. We will be working in tandem with Alexa on the Museum section providing you with a superb source of inspiration for your design collection. Also a big thank you to Donna Giles for working on the silhouette boards for the trends section. If any of you talented designers out there also want to contribute to this section you only have to let us know and we will review your work. Get your name out there in the industry and use www.fashioncapital.co.uk – we did reach the 1.5m hit rate target this month….in fact it was over 1.6m.

We are receiving tremendous feedback on the quality of our site and the content of our articles and features. We do not externally promote or advertise the site (yet!) to the trade so the phenomenal growth is very much through word of mouth so a big THANK YOU to you all.
Have you seen that film Lost in Translation? Well that sometimes happens at the LFF! We are only a team of four and sometimes I have to dictate newswires over the phone. Invariably mistakes can occur this way so apologises for the spellinzs last week. This is a vague attempt of humour here!
I am not going to be around for a few days as we are moving home – can you imagine it, three boys, a three legged cat, two hamsters a mad-as-a-hatter collie puppy and one grumpy husband. Work seems like heaven in comparision – so I regret I will not be able to revert on the discussion forums until the middle of next week.
Anyway, all the best this week and good luck to you all.
