FashionCapital Fabric Studio Tutorials

07-10-2016

Launching today (7th October) FashionCapital’s sister company the FC Fabric Studio will provide insight and guidance into sewing and making a variety of products via a series of fun, online sewing tutorials aimed at both beginners and intermediate sewing enthusiasts.

tutorial3

Senior pattern cutter and tutor at the Fashion Technology Academy, Alice, provides step-by-step instructions ensuring avid crafters watching at home can create their very own garments which will included tote bags and learn the fundamental skills needed to set up and use a sewing machine. In addition, Alice will provide insight into helpful skills that can be used in everyday life including hemming a dress and turning up trousers. Initially starting simple to ensure all basics are covered, watches will grow and gain further skills as the videos become more advanced.

A unique advantage, the tutorials will only produce garments using the fabric that is stocked and sold at the FC Fabric Studio. Not only does this mean that the company and viewers will know exactly what material is being used and the quality, but it also means that those at home can purchase the exact fabrics used with ease. If that wasn’t enough, the quality fabrics are sold at wholesale prices!

The premiere tutorial invites crafters, stitchers, sewers, students, designers and more to gain insight into how to correctly set up a sewing machine. From threading the needle and bobbin through to picking the right stich and settings, Alice will be there every step of the way to teach and advice.

Encouraging watchers to share their creations via images and videos, the FC Fabric Studio ask all to follow their social media platforms – they will be retweeting and reposting all of their favourites!
