At the very last minute my plans to visit London collapsed, so I decided to spend some time in Luton looking for trendy and stylish people. Well, you might think that is hopeless, but you’d be surprised. Let’s take a look…
Angela, student from London
I just love layering; it’s a very easy-to-wear and relaxed look. You can layer up over jeans or leggings – basically everything goes. I also bought some leopard print accessories in China, but I definitely won’t buy high-waisted trousers. I think they’re a no-go.
Katja, student from Hull
I’m really into animal prints, especially leopard. I have all kinds of accessories: belts, scarves and tops. I’m very confident and wear whatever I like – but it must be a quality buy. High-waisted trousers and designer jeans are still on my shopping list for this winter.
Jemma, student from Luton
Although my boyfriend was kind of sceptical, I chose to wear two belts to emphasize my waist. I only go shopping when I’m in the right mood, but I’m definitely heading for a ¾ sleeve coat to match my red shoes.
Anna, student from Holland
I like to mix styles. This works best for me with second hand clothes. I look for clothes in Holland or at flea markets – although it’s not always the cheapest option. For winter I still have to buy some accessories like vintage pumps or earrings.
Juliet and Fatima, students from Luton
The most important thing is that the clothes are comfortable and keep you warm. We’re mainly buying functional trendy outfits at TopShop, Miss Selfridges or H&M.
