‘Red Earth’ Lipstick  a threat us?

Currently there have been allegations, of a lipstick brand named ‘Red Earth’ containing lead, causing high risks of cancerous cells. There has been suspicions for quite some time however not until now has the truth been revealed.

Leading brands such as, Christian Dior, Lancome, Clinique, Y.S.L and Chanel have all been rumored to contain this substance, which can lead to fatality. Dr. Nahid Neman, apart of the Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, working in the breast cancer unit, is the founder of this unforeseen rumor, he quotes, “the higher the lead content the higher the chance of causing cancer”.

Ironically one of the most expensive lipsticks in the cosmetic industry had the highest lead content, Y.S.L, it goes to show, finding out background knowledge  doesn’t go a miss at times!

The truth is this may be a concern for some women but not for others, as it has been proven that many lipsticks only contain a small amount of lead, however this small amount can build up over time, (depending on how much lipstick you wear!).

Please be aware lead can actually lead to cancer, although it may be a minute amount found in your lipstick this can slowly gradually lead  to many types of autoimmune diseases.

If your feel as if your a threat to lead contained lipsticks, then why not put your lipsticks to the test,

1.       put some lipstick on your hand

2.       use a gold ring to scratch on the lipstick

3.       if the lipstick colour changes to black, lead is evident.

It is vital this information is known to all women across the country, wives, girlfriends, and all female family members.

This information is also being circulated at Walter Reed army medical centre, Watch out for those lipsticks which are meant to stay longer, the longer lasting the higher the content of lead!
