LFW Sept 08 – PPQ

The garments curves and circles meant the hem length was shorter and your eye was instantly drawn to the models shoulders, which at points were slightly exaggerated. The squared neck line of the tight fitted dress resembled that of the power suit alongside the tight wide waist belt attached to the dress and positioned just above the hips which had an extra flare of sculptured material, exaggerating the hips and making the waist appear smaller. The over all structure of many of the garments were a lot more fitted, generally showing off the shape of the natural angles of the body.

Hats were among the accessorizes brought to light in yesterdays show, turquoise round hats with material that draped bellow their chins and tied in huge bows walked past huge black hats which flared out and upwards. Chunky jewelry featured on small belts clinched around the waist as well as jeweled bracelets piled high on some of the models arms. Large patent black bags went hand in hand with round 40's styled holders which were carried like precious cargo under their arms.

Multi-coloured round necked baggy t-shirts were worn with high black shorts or switched around the black t-shirts were teamed with large flared coloured trousers, which appeared like sparkling gems. The white and turquoise striped t-shirt dress was undoubtedly one of my favorite pieces in the collection, with a bold print of "Don't be a square" with in a square frame positioned on the centre of the dress made the piece a simple yet bold piece which is hard to be forgotten.
