LFW Sept 08 – Steve J and Yoni P
17-09-2008

Now it maybe too early to proclaim this, but this is by far my favourite collection of London Fashion Week so far!

This was true fantasy and fairytale, perfectly structured pencil skirts, teamed with sheer and silk blouses, decorated with tantalising abstract appliqué, started a show that really did only get better. Chiffon and organza was delicately pleated to create floaty empire line and baby doll dresses. Sleeves were capped, while there were more tailored trousers on display, though these were seriously futuristic as they shimmered silver in both a cropped (more capri's) and full-length versions. Colours were well thought out as the whole collection reflected doll like colouring in pale pinks, whites and caramels, as well as soft yellow. These antique like shades were accented against electric blues, gothic black and tangerines (that have all been prominent so far this week).

The show continued with a section on metallics, in both gold and silver, this sparkly and beaded trend is set to continue for a further season, but with beautiful panelling and detailing as shown in this collection I can't say I mind!

The mixture of structured shifts and draped dresses meant that there was something in this fantastic collection for everyone. So whether your after the perfect party piece of a structured ‘origami' like jacket, I suggest you get yourself down to Steve J and Yoni P, as this duo will only go from strength to strength.
