Inventor of ranking celeb fashion faux pas in the "Worst Dressed List", Mr Blackwell has died in Los Angeles aged 86 from complications in an intestinal infection. Blackwell spread his dreaded list over the course of 48 years commencing in 1960 and topping his final attempt to name the worst dressed celebs with non other than Brit style icon, Miss Vicky Becks. Having included names across all industries, from Royals, Princess Diana, who seemingly appeared in the following year's best dresses list to Drew Barrymore who Blackwell famously reclaimed as "Drew bares more".

Blackwell was a name known to all and to avoid at all costs excluding a few such as Whoopi Goldberg whom sent gifts of gratitude to Mr Blackwell for the encountered publicity post feature. Brooklyn born, as Richard Selzer, his dismal upbringing of enduring abusive by his stepfather resulted in running away from home to try a series of jobs before sticking with Best and Worst Dresses lists. We will remember dear Richard and thank him for the laughs and style icons presented to us over the years.
