Colour, colour, colour and more colour were seen at the International Spring Summer 2009 catwalk shows. The future is certainly going to be bright and bold; we’ll see the most diverse range of fabrics in a whole spectrum of colours and shapes brought together on a much wider scale never seen before.
Embroidered Art, embellished embroidery over everything, tassels hanging down. Beautiful cross and stitch patterns, embroidered pictures.
It will be the beginning of a unique move towards experimentation of colour and fabrics.
Designers such as Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Christian Lacroix, Anna Sui, Etro, Emilio Pucci, Matthew Williamson, and especially Basso & Brooke have all followed this trend.Spring Summer 2009

Out of the many designers supporting this look my favourite has to be Basso & Brooke simply because the way in which they mix and match fabrics which is truly amazing. Their collection brought together and expressed everything this trend is going to convey to the consumer next
summer. This trend will even filter through to SS 2010.
