Although my Irish skin isn't too fond of the sun I have recently been taking full advantage of the warm London weather to get out and about to take Summer Street Style photos, but on Saturday I went straight to my G-A-Y flyering job from Camden Crawl and realised that the Warm Summer Days means Cold Summer Nights!!!! This inspired me to get out in Soho on a night time and see what kind of ‘It's not quite summer but its waaaaaaay past winter!!' jacket, jumpers and cardigans people were wearing.

  

To start off, every guy knows that a beaten leather jacket adds instant cool to any outfit!!! The more beaten the better! It's both vintage and current with movie stars like James Dean rocking it back in the 50's and Indie Idol Pete Docherty still rocking one now. All Saint is currently selling a vintage style leather jacket as worn by this week's Featured Flyer Boy.

  

A thin and simple jacket is easy to carry around during the day and will protect you from the chill in the air on a night time without taking away from your Summer Style. A thin cardi or blazer can give your casual day look a bit of smart for evening drinks.

 
       

When you're out shopping all day or going to the gym after work / university, a large "manbag" is key!!! You can keep your books, pens, keys, toothbrush, mp3, lunch, gym kit, Speedo, moisturiser, laptop and the kitchen sink in it and still have space to fit in a summer jacket. These guys are sporting YSL and Vivienne Westwood. 

    

A thin Mac or Summer Coat will give your daytime outfit a bit of dapper for the evening. Wearing it open gives you a smart casual look but doing it up and wearing some black skinny jeans can give the illusion that you're wearing a suit. On Sunday I went shopping on Oxford Street only to find that the winter coat I had bought in October had gone down to less than half price!!! If you want to save some money why not get out and buy yourself a new winter coat or jacket now while they are on sale and stick it in your wardrobe for when the cold weather comes back around!!!

  

Finally… it is the Summer!!! Who wants to cart a jacket around with them anyway? With the temperamental British Summer lasting a grand total of two weeks should we not just give the illusion of warmth anyway?? A thin jumper gives your top half warmth, but mixing it with shorts you instantly create a preppy summer look you can wear all day long while being prepared for the cold Summer Nights!!!
