Clothes Show London 2009!
01-06-2009
FC took prime position with 20 stands all under the FashionCapital boutique umbrella. The stands were occupied by over 20 new and emerging fashion designers who each sold their collections to the avid shoppers. There was a fantastic mixture of vintage one off pieces, irresistible dresses, cashmere tops and unique accessories which kept the stands with a constant stream of interest.
Although the venue, Excels London, was much smaller than Clothes Show's usual home of the NEC in Birmingham it still offered a great space for the fashion and beauty event. Big names such as Bench, Rimmel and Company Magazine exhibited along side vintage and up and coming names providing an eclectic mix of must haves for shoppers.

Throughout each day visitors were able to take a break from shopping, spray tanning and beauty make over's and could take a seat at the Expert Studio to see one of the guest speakers revealing their unique insight into an area of the fashion and beauty industry. Clothes Show veteran Caryn Franklin spoke about the phenomenon of the event, TV presenter Louise Roe was on hand to answer any questions on trends in fashion, Erin O Connor on the world of modelling, Stylist Nicky Hambleton-Jones on what to wear and FashionCapital on how to become a fashion designer were just some of the names offering some great advice.

There was also the style stage and of course the fashion theatre which showcased a theatrical catwalk show. Overall the Clothes Show London was a resounding success and FashionCapital looks forward to the next Clothes Show in Birmingham!
