Shoes
08-06-2009
Hello everyone : D I’m really excited to have started with fashioncapital.co.uk and look forward to giving you lot a glimpse into what’s going to be hot this season as well as all the must have accessories and clothing from the high street and beyond.
As well as being crazy busy at work this week I’ve also been scaling the stores of London Town in search of the hottest shoe styles for men. Needless to say during this vigorous ‘research’ I’ve seem more than enough to make my bank manager quiver in his Prada loafers – and you know what, I want them all J
I’ve also thought its amazing how much men and women express their style and individuality through what they put on their feet – even a simple white jean can be accented with a pair of vibrant hi-tops and a geometric print tee (the only thing to wear on your upper body this summer)
Check out what the wonderful people of our fair city have voted their absolute must haves this season:
The High-Top
Without a doubt the most popular of all our choices this week, the statement shoe can be worn with mostly everything expresses style and attitude in a way that none other can.

On the Chic:
Available at ASOS.com, these Raf Simons Sliver Astronaut Boots made it to the top of our chart with their amazing finish and fantastic cut. At £530 it’s best to look at them as more of an investment then an impulse purchase – Recession, WHAT RECESSION!?

On the Cheap:
For the more cautious shopper, these vibrant hi-tops are essential, affordable fashion at just £40 from Topman. I love the metallic finish on this shoe, perfect for any social occasion!
The Boat Shoe
Now there’s no excuse for not being totally excited about summer. But one style that will transcend far into AW09 is the Boat Shoe.
Although available in loads of trends and styles, my personal favourite (and shoe choice for today) has got to be the Nanny State blue boat shoe. At just £40 from Office there’s no reason why you couldn’t get one in every colour J
Plimsoll
Simple, stylish and not to mention the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe – the Plimsoll has never been hotter! As I walk along Oxford Street towards Selfridges I can’t help but notice a sea of white Plimsolls, and not just on men! Clearly a popular choice and an essential part of my wardrobe!
Smart/Dress shoe
Even if you don’t wear smart shoes to the office, there are countless social occasions when noting but a Dress Shoe will do!
Hint: try to avoid a pointed tip. These do work sometimes but are a little too ‘Brick Lane’ for my liking and just wont go with the tuxedo you’re wearing to the Charity Gala. Probably the best of the bunch are these ASOS Made In Italy Derby Lace-Up Shoes at £59
