Summer Uni is an extension of the mission of Tower Hamlets Summer University which is to work with young people through innovative educational opportunities in the summer holidays and year-round, helping them make informed, positive decisions that enhance their lives and the lives of those around them.
From 20th – 24th July Fashion Enter will hold a week long succession of informative workshops on all aspects of the fashion industry. Fashion Enter’s team of specialist advisors will be engaging with young people with a view to educate and inspire fashion enthusiasts who want to break into the industry.
Those attending the workshops will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding on various subjects ranging from how to set up your own business with Director of Fashion Enter, Jenny Holloway, to becoming a catwalk model with leading modelling agency Mahogany Models. There will also be an exclusive seminar with Menswear Buyer Terry Betts from Harvey Nicholls. Terry will be discussing ‘The New Market Place’ and what catches a buyer’s attention.
The seminars will take place in Vicarage Field Shopping Centre where Fashion Enter’s flagship boutique, showcasing new and emerging fashion designers, is based.
