High Street Fashion Week is to take place from 7^th to11^th September on Oxford Street and top retailers such as Selfridges, Topman and River Island are planning to all come together and promote the area with a whole week worth of in-store events, special exhibitions of A/W collections and many special promotion offers for customers. The veteran London Fashion Week designer, Paul Costelloe, will even be introducing his new collection in a special catwalk show in the John Lewis store.

This event will be the first ever High Street Fashion week in the country and will bring the joys of London Fashion Week to all the Oxford Street shoppers with a mix of fashion shows, exhibitions, designer trunk shows and launch parties. British popstar Alicia Dixon was crowned the 'High Street Fashion Queen' by 100,000 West End voters, making her the face of the 'High Street Fashion Week 2009' and the first ambassador for the event.

The event is being managed by the New West End Company, who are dedicated to promoting London's West End as the World's top shopping destination and the 'High Street Fashion Week on Oxford Street' event will no doubt help push the company towards they're goal.
