Haringey Networking Event

The Workshop signals a new age in business support for the industry. Launched in October 08, in partnership with asos.com, it operates as an advice centre for designers who want industry expertise for patterns, blocks, grades and production as well as offering a unique highly specialised service for retailers too.

 

 

Over the last year not only has The Workshop expanded its client base it has also become a unique educational hub providing industry specific courses such as Stitch in Time to help unemployed Haringey residents find employment or start their own design business.  

Last night was a fantastic networking event for designers, manufacturers and Fashion Enter staff to meet face to face and discuss the fantastic opportunities taking place at the moment, all with cupcakes, cocktails and not forgetting sparkers to mark the 5^th November celebrations!

 

 

Patrick Jones from Haringey Council was in attendance and was able to meet with some of eight businesses Haringey Council are funding to take a stand at the worlds largest fashion and beauty event Clothes Show Live.  Also Roya and Michael from Rev up, a two year funded programme helping businesses succeed in the NDC area, attended the event and again could meet with the designers and manufactures they are funding to have a presence at the Clothes Show event this December. 

 

A huge thank you to Haringey Council and Rev up for funding local businesses to excel in the industry through the excellent assistance of Fashion Enter.
