Pure London: Label – the UK’s buying event for young brand
26-02-2010
This year Pure had a record breaking number all round. It has been
recorded that Pure’s visitor numbers went up by 23% from last year and
had the busiest Sunday ever recorded.
The Pure show had over 951 brands exhibiting, ranging from womenswear,
young fashion, footwear and accessories. A third of these were all new
to the Pure exhibition.
Many buyers came from near and far to see the magnificent Pure
exhibition, there was a variety of UK Buyers such as Harrods,
Selfridges and House of Fraser and many oversea buyers from Japan,
Russia and China. Designer Olivia Rubin confirmed this; ‘We have seen
a lot of new clients this season. Pure is ideal to find new
independents.’
With this show going so well, Pure are already discussing plans to
expand and develop the show for August 2010. This is a great
opportunity for all Department, independent, UK and overseas buyers to
experience a wide range of new fashion, in a great atmosphere.
Steve Newbold, Managing Director, Pure London and Label commented
‘This weekend Pure London has given a very encouraging start to 2010.
Pure London has had record numbers from both exhibitors and visitors
to the show, with a real energy and positive atmosphere across all
sections of the show. We have reached a point where the critical mass
of exciting brands has made Pure London an essential date in the
buying calendar for both department stores and independents, UK and
overseas.’
