The Showroom Members update Week ending 9 July 2010

Garment Specifications sheets are of optimum importance
Lots going on with orders and what now right now. In all this mayhem I am learning ways of improving our existing structures and one thing that has come to my attention is garment specification sheets. Not having these at the time when the buyers view the collections and select collections has really slowed things down and hindered orders that should be straight forward. If I cannot pass on this information immediately to the buyer then it is unprofessional and adds time on to the order. It is also unfair on the designers who do fill out the spec sheets immediately as it keeps everyone waiting and it is never a good idea to keep the buyer waiting. In the past we may have agreed to fill out the sheets for you and this has lead to confusion especially surrounding changing costs that we are not aware of for instance if you change manufacturers.
From now on for every new collection we receive into the showroom we request that every individual garment accounted for must have a Garment specification sheet filled out and emailed to us.
