The second set of trend boards for Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 are ready to view…

Following on from our Empress trend, Feather Flapper encompasses all that is Flapper. The style and glamour of the 1920’s is something that is very special like a rose frozen in time!  This trend is also a continuation from Taking Flight which can be viewed by our members the link below. Birds play an important role in the forthcoming season of AW 2011/12. They are seen as a symbol of change within the next year – to take flight and move away into a new era.  The Flapper has links with the beautiful cockatoo with its pale pink and dusky white feathers.

Feathers play and important role within this collection and will become a key feature as will other adornments.  This time around there is more of an emphasis placed on embellishments rather than prints but they do have their own special place.

The colour for this board is very dusky and grey returns.
