“I did not know how to create patterns and so I was interested in learning, which is why I joined the Level 1 Perfect Patterns course.  Having completed this I wanted to progress and also complete the Level 2.  I would definitely recommend the course and Alice is a great teacher with a lot of knowledge – she is a great example to learn from!” – Nader Shaw

“I have thoroughly enjoyed completing and studying both the Level 1 and 2 Perfect Patterns course here at the FTA. I have learnt new skills and now feel confident in this area.  I would definitely recommend the course to those looking to gain new skills within the fashion, textiles and pattern cutting industry.” – Valerie Lindsay

I am really enjoying my job as an apprentice sewing machine mechanic. My boss Kyri is a great boss and I am learning so much. Every Monday I go to the FTA and I learn all about all kinds of business things such as Health & Safety. When I won the award and it was given to me from Alex Pritchard I was really surprised but so happy. It really was one of the best moments of my life so far.” - George Filkins

“Although I already have sewing skills the FTA Stitching Academy Level 2 course has provided me with even more new skills. I would highly recommend the course to others both with and without previous experience.  I feel confident in my new skills and feel that I can use them in the future.” Sarah Salvader

Catherine Williams tutor at St. Anne’s School commented:

"The tour of your factory was friendly, informative and inspiring! Today I have had a lot of the students come to me explaining how much they enjoyed their visit, and are wanting to apply for the apprenticeship scheme on offer (to which I replied I wish I could too!) Lots of work experience applications will be heading your way from a mix of KS4 & 5 students.

“You and your team have been incredibly welcoming, helpful and accommodating to my students.  Would be more than a pleasure to teach alongside such devoted, friendly and knowledgeable tutors and teachers. I look forward to meeting with you again for future visits."
