During her Fashion degree at the Arts University Bournemouth, one of Claire’s weekly lectures was a pattern masterclass from an industry pattern cutter working across the high street. It was through these lessons that Claire’s interest in patterns developed and she decided that she wanted to work as pattern cutter.

After graduating Claire was offered a job at Amanda Marshall where she worked alongside the machinists and senior pattern cutters to soak up all their knowledge enhancing her technical skills. Since then she has worked on both high and low end high street as well as high end designer brands providing a variety of experience.

Claire started at Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) in August 2018 as Head of Patterns and her role has evolved to include digital pattern creation with Optitex 3D, teaching and managing the Fashion Studio. Claire has welcomed new technologies and practices with open arms and in 2022 she was promoted to Head of Technical Development at FEL’s Haringey site.
