Manchester Metropolitan University Students Tour The Factory

19-04-2024

On the afternoon of Tuesday 7th November 2017, we welcomed 30 fashion students from the Manchester Metropolitan University to the Factory. The visit began with an introduction about the company and a brief explanation of the schedule of the factory visit.

Shortly after the introduction, Production Manager Caroline Ash explained to the group of students the complete stages of the garment life cycle. The students were then taken on a tour of the Factory and Caroline explained each stage of garment production from fabric delivery to quality control and packing.

Following the Factory tour, students were shown the sampling process of making a garment at the Fashion Studio. Including what a tech pack is, to the last stage of creating a final sample .

Overall, the students gained a significant amount of knowledge of the Garment Life cycle and the Production Process.
