In this interactive masterclass led by former Head of Design Della Nelson, Della will delve into the initial brand development by analysing how to determine your brands customer profile. Points of discussion will include:

Della Nelson is a highly creative and motivated design leader in women’s fashion, forecasting, design, tailoring and heading up creative teams within mid-market and premium retailers. She is passionate about developing a brands identity, ensuring an innovative and relevant product development process to the brand and its clientele.
After leaving Art College she worked as a designer and pattern cutter working with Italian manufacturers developing fabrics and garments for British and German brands Jaeger, M&S, Laura Ashley, Betty Barclay. She became co-owner and Design Director of Platform, a Fashion manufacturing business in Northern Ireland during the late 80’s.Throughout her career Della has had the privilege to create and collaborate with premium designers such as Quinn and Donnelly, Betty Jackson, John Rocha, Preen and worked with Jo Elvin formerly Chief Editor of Glamour magazine.
In recent years she became Group Head of Design for Very.co.uk and Head of Design for Jacques Vert. Della was responsible for the initial brand concepts through to fabric sourcing and creative vision of each collection, to in-store merchandising and sales feedback. She has been very much involved at every stage. Della is exceptional at setting the conceptual scene and direction for the season and a specialist in fabric and print sourcing, colour and product development. She researches and designs with integrity and thrives working within the atelier alongside pattern cutters, seamstresses and artisans.
She is a confident leader in presenting and communicating the vision for the whole season internally to her team, to the supply base and to global partners. Notching up 30-years of vital industry experience Della is the ideal mentor for start-up brands as well as more established labels looking to flourish and grow.
