The course is essential for any individual working with patterns and knowledge gained in Gerber is considered a valuable asset by industry, read on to find out why Emily and Afsha decided to take the course:

Emily: “I used to work as a tailor in E.Tautz and Ozwald Boateng in Savile Row and I am working as a freelance Pattern Cutter for Simone Rocha. I see more industries require CAD pattern cutters than manual pattern cutters, so I realized I need to learn these new techniques. I would like to be familiar with doing patterns based on Gerber system and learn everything in ethical factory production ways.”

Afsha: I am doing this course to become a more efficient pattern maker. I believe this course will help me to be closer to my dream career.

“To adapt certain designs manually in blocks can take a long time, as sometimes the process requires you to work with many working patterns. By using Gerber I would like to get the same result as a manual pattern but in far less time. I would like to become proficient in Gerber so that it will help me in my career as a pattern maker or as a couturier.”

The March three-day course takes place on 12th, 13th and 15th and costs £499, however we are flexible and can book for future dates so please get in touch if you are interested.
