Fashion Enter on BBC Tonight News 24th April
December 7, 2019 - December 7, 2019
We made it on to the news! The BBC news crew were at the Enter Boutique on Monday for over three hours and its amazing how much footage was shot for the two minute clip.
There were designers on standby ready to be interviewed as per the original brief Joe Blake, Sade Popoola, Melanka & Mee, and Rachel Brown. Sorry your clips weren’t used but there’s always the next time.
The main thrust of the newsbite was to gain support and momentum for London to have its own .LDN registration rather than .co.uk and .com. Fashion Enter has over 1000 desginers and some of these designers are from China, India, Poland and a host of other countries. Why do they come to London? Quite simplly because it’s all happening here on the fashion scene.
Fashion is worth over £8bn to the UK economy and over £400m is exported each year. At the Enter boutqiue we have had visits from Macy’s buyers who were combing the web looking for new British Designers labels. This is why it’s so important for all desginers to have a web presence today and also helps explain why www.fashioncapital.co.uk continues to grow as the UK’s major fashion portal.
