Fashion AI Conference
Exciting news, we can confirm that FEL will be hosting a Fashion AI Conference in partnership with InnovateUK KTN and Style3D on Wednesday 21st February.
The conference will discuss the growing use of AI across the entire fashion production process; from textiles and design to manufacturing and track and trace. The conference will begin at 10am and will feature a roster of industry experts including Dr Stephen Morris – InnovateUK KTN and Eric Liu, Founder and CEO of LincTex (Style3D).

Create Growth Funding Support – Next Thursday 8th Feb
If you are a small fashion or textile business based in the East Midlands you are invited to join the FEL team on Thursday 8th February for an inspirational evening of talks and advice.
Open to East Midlands fashion & textiles creatives, Fashion-Enter Ltd has partnered with the East Midlands Creative Consortium and Create Growth funding to support businesses form winning strategies to expand operations, attract finance and create jobs.

HOPE-FX Launch Event
The HOPE-FX project gives young people, who are recovering from mental health conditions, the chance to produce their own unique, t-shirt designs and, with the FEL team, see the entire process through from design sketch to high street.
Jenny Holloway, Founder and CEO of FEL comments: “This is a new way forward in mental health today – this integration with skills, business, giving people a purpose and providing HOPE works!”
Our first group of participants have now completed their designs and are preparing to showcase and sell at the FC Designer Collective shop. A special launch event is being planned for 16th February. More on this soon.

MP Catherine West – Supports UK Manufacturing
On 29th January Labour Member of Parliament, Catherine West, attended a meeting at Fashion-Enter Ltd’s Leicester campus.
The meeting was arranged by Fiona Gooch, Senior Policy Adviser at Transform Trade and Hilary Marsh, Garment Policy Advisor Transform Trade,
with the aim of highlighting the advantages of making ethical and sustainable production in the UK.
Catherine West, Labour MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, was also joined by Jenny Holloway, Founder and CEO of Fashion-Enter Ltd, as well as two apprentices from Next.
The discussion centred on circularity and the support needed for positive growth within Leicester’s established manufacturing network. Reviews also took place regarding future legislative developments such as EPR and current ESG policies.

New Evening Tailoring Class
Due to popular demand for more evening classes we can now offer a 10-week Introduction to Tailoring evening class.
This introductory course provides an excellent opportunity to delve into the world of bespoke tailoring with 3-hour evening sessions.
If you’re interested in tailoring but not wanting to commit to a full-time course, or maybe you would like a general overview, or want to learn some of the skills to supplement your existing sewing knowledge, then this course is perfect for you.
We offer a thorough introduction to tailoring that will provide a solid foundation with opportunities for advancement to higher levels tailored to you.
The course takes place at the FC Designer Workspace, 9 Durham Road, N7, and will start Monday 19th February, tap here for further details and to book.
Level 3 Fashion Design and Business Course
The current cohort of Level 3 Fashion Design and Business students, in partnership with Capital City College Group, have wowed the FEL team with their creativity. The 16+ learners have been working on their designs at our Islington campus and the energy in the room was absolutely electric!
Learner Elvira said: “It’s really nice to study at Fashion-Enter, I’m very glad that we have this amazing opportunity on our course, all the teachers are very kind and always want to help you with your ideas, everyone is so supportive, it makes it much easier to reach your goals. Fashion-Enter is a significant experience that will definitely help me in the future, I am very grateful and glad that I am studying there this year.”
Enrolment is now open for the next cohort aged 19 and up to start in April. Fashion-Enter delivers: Pattern Cutting, Stitching, Digital and Business, while CCCG provides: Fashion and Textile – Research, Design, and Illustration.

Online Masterclass Today
This morning we hosted a free and informative masterclass on: ‘Navigating the First Steps of Finance for Fashion Brands & Designers.’
Led by Deputy CEO Jackie Bertram, the 1-hour session provided essential knowledge and skills to tackle the financial aspects of starting and running a micro business. From understanding basic financial terminology to setting up financial systems and managing cash flow, along with practical tools and no-nonsense advice to establish a solid financial foundation.
