Fashion-Enter Ltd to Remain Open

As Britain heads into a second coronavirus lockdown we would like to keep you up-to-date on all Fashion-Enter Ltd departments. It’s business as usual – as much as we can! We are remaining open, however we’re putting the safety of all of our staff, learners and clients first. The Factories – London and Wales and Fashion Studio remain fully open but all other areas including education and the head office team will be operating more remotely.

We all just have to keep going and remember that this time will pass. For now keep healthy and safe.

Mayor Allocates £10m to Help Skills Sector Cope with Covid-19

News just in… The Mayor today revealed which skills providers have been awarded a share of his £10.3 million Covid-19 Emergency Recovery Support Fund (ERSF) to help them through the challenges of the pandemic. 91 successful ERSF projects have been awarded and we are delighted to announce that Fashion-Enter Ltd is one of them! With big thanks to the Mayor of London and LEAP, this funding will ensure that we can continue to provide education, training and skills going forward.

Virtual Learning – Factory Tours

In the midst of the ‘new normal’ we have taken virtual learning and seminars in our stride. Students from the University of Westminster recently experienced our 2-hour Virtual Factory tour and seminar, here is what Nicola Mansfield MA FRSA, Senior Lecturer at the University had to say: “Transparency in the Supply Chain is more important than ever, Fashion-Enter gave the opportunity to witness how this should be done with their Factory Tour. I fully endorse these sessions for any Fashion Business and students alike.”

The team are now looking forward to providing more virtual tours next week as we welcome students from Regents University and the Fashion Retail Academy.

Coming Soon…AGM-PPP Business Accountability Meeting

Fashion-Enter will be taking part in the upcoming AGM-PPP meeting to ensure all business members are accountable for their business practices. During the meeting a representative group of stakeholders will work together to develop a set of minimum requirements and sustainable longer-term expectations on responsible business practices for all AGM-PPP members. Key topics will include relevant industry reports, emerging good practice, sustainability, workstream along with key actions / objectives. More on this important meeting soon.

It’s the Week of VocTech 2nd – 6th November 2020

Fashion-Enter has been mentioned in the UFI VocTech Trust Project Directory, which can be found here. Alongside the successful delivery of the ‘Developing the technical skills of apprentices and employees for the manufacturing process through digital learning’ project delivered from September 2019 to August 2020, the team at Fashion-Enter was also praised by Louise Rowlinson from the VocTech family for manufacturing scrubs for the NHS.

Optitex Training for ASOS Staff

Today we have four ASOS staff members in for an Optitex learning session with Claire Solley, Optitex / Senior Pattern Cutting tutor at Fashion-Enter. Optitex has become the pattern cutting CAD system of choice among some of the biggest high street retailers and is soon to become the leading fashion product development tool on the market. We are pleased that we can lead the way with this innovative software and are able to offer bespoke Optitex tuition for fashion brands, retailers and students.
