A Fashion Enter Summer Wedding

It’s not every week the Development Director of Fashion Enter / FashionCapital AKA Jenni Sutton gets married! Yes, yesterday was the big day for Jenni and James, hence the delay in this weeks’ newsletter! After James’ visa drama, threat of deportation and even a feature in the Evening Standard, Jenni and James are now official – congratulations to the happy couple.

Making A Difference

There is nothing more genuinely satisfying than seeing the learners, apprentices and start-up brands that we work with develop, grow and forge their way into the highly competitive fashion sector. Recently Val Navea joined our FTA Stitching Academy course Level 1 and 2 and her enthusiasm and positivity about what we do simply had to be shared:

New Vetigraph Dates

Our popular Vetigraph Digital Pattern Cutting Course is back scheduled for the 24^th and 25^th of September.

Course content includes:

•Creating a block pattern directly on the system

•Creating a pattern from the block

•Creation of dart, fullness, adding volume

•Digitise patterns

•Pattern amendments

•Generate and naming pattern pieces

•Adding seam allowance

TR Pattern Cutting Taster Course & Stitching For Absolute Beginners

 Also taking place on Saturday 1^st of September we have the TR Pattern Cutting Taster Course. TR Pattern Cutting is a form of origami pattern cutting, which translates into immediate and intuitive 3D creations, in opposition to the more conventional way of drafting. Led by TR pattern super master Claudette Joseph, learners are introduced to this highly effective technique, suitable for beginners. Beginners Stitching 1 & 2 Day Options

 For those wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine and begin to make their own garments then the next Stitching for Absolute Beginners course will take place on Saturday 1^st of September. Choose from a one-day £120 or two-days £199 of tuition from our highly experienced tutors. Both days include lunch and we can guarantee that you will know how to operate a sewing machine and make basic garments by the time you leave.

“I have just launched a Kickstarter campaign for my football brand ‘Tumaini Football’. Through crowdfunding, I plan to further develop and source a manufacturer for a unique patent pending football shirt that I have been working on for the past 2 years. The project is called ‘RNP: Removable Name Panels’. The project was developed and sampled by the team at Fashion Enter/FashionCapital (who were amazing!) but we now need help to take the project to the next level.
