FEL Maintains an Excellent Track Record

As a leading provider of fashion and textiles qualifications and apprenticeships we are regularly monitored and audited to ensure that best practices are in place. FEL aims to embed long-term learning into the memory of each learner that crosses into the Fashion Technology Academies (FTA) in Wales, Haringey, Islington and Leicester, with the aim of providing an excellent experience. We are therefore pleased to report that recent reviews from Capital City College Group, Skills and Education Group and the Quality Licence Scheme have fed back with positive reports on our facilities and tuition.

Hear From FTA Learners

The best recommendation for any of our courses comes directly from the learners. In this YouTube video meet Farhim, he completed the Level 1 Stitching course in Islington and has now progressed onto the Level 1 Patterns course in Haringey.

Come on England!

We’ve had some England supporters using our bespoke t-shirt printing service in preparation for Saturday’s quarter finals against France! Come on England! Here they are being printed up.

We are thrilled to have this eco-friendly, bespoke printing facility on-site in Haringey, if you would like to personalise a cotton t-shirt or two then our prices are very competitive and start from £12-, great for a Christmas gift. Crisis X Savile Row Pop Up

Today, 7th December, Gee Fletcher, Fashion Studio Assistant, and CEO, Jenny Holloway are volunteering at the Savile Row X Crisis pop up shop. The very successful pop-up store ‘A Call To Garms’ has returned and is operational until 14th December. Drop in and discover some beautiful one-off pieces while supporting this brilliant charity for the homeless.

FCFTA Leicester Create Sewa Day Bags

Sewa Day is a UK based charity located across 30 regions, almost 50 volunteers are based in Leicester and work across many projects including donating and distributing food to people and schools. Sewa Day was spending almost £150 to £200 on carrier bags used to carry the food to various locations, so they came to the FCFTA with a thought – to make food bags out of old clothes which are environmentally friendly and can be reused. Zarina, FCFTA tutor along with previous learners volunteered to work together and make some large bags out of dead stock and handed these over to Sewa Day on 3rd December.  It was great to be a part of this initiative that supports local charities and communities.

Well done to Diva Choice and Hashtag Made IV Me for a fun, in-store event at the FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road last Saturday. Inviting the local community to showcase new designs and provide special offers really does work and we look forward to the next one. In the meantime if you are local to Finsbury Park do pop in to the FC Designer Collective for fashion and accessories that are locally made.
