Today’s Free Masterclass

This morning from 10 – 11am FEL CEO Jenny Holloway provided an insightful masterclass on compiling a successful business plan. Business plans are essential to clarify a business idea, set out goals, measure progress and attract investment and interest.

Attendees could join via Zoom and included FEL apprentices and learners along with external individuals in need of this fundamental advice.

The next free masterclass is on Mastering the Fashion Business Blueprint: Fine-tuning your plan for success taking place 10 -11am on 30th August, to book your place tap the link and add to basket, a Zoom link will be emailed closer to the time.

Short Course Success

At our educational campuses in London and Leicester the short 4-day courses have seen some amazing results. Learners leave with new found confidence and skills to undertake more sewing projects at home.

FCFTA Leicester is open throughout summer and able to offer an introduction to garment making courses – this is a great way to learn how to make your own clothes or see if fashion is the career for you. Courses are 1-day for £30 or 4-days for £75.

Make Your Own Tote Bag in 1 Day!

The FC Designer Workspace this week has been buzzing with learners on the 4-day stitching and upcycling workshop. Throughout the summer the Workspace is holding a series of short courses.

The beginners Pattern Cutting course is now full, however we do have places remaining for the 1-day Reversible Tote Bag Making course. This 1-day introduction is a brilliant way to use up scrap fabrics or old clothing items. Here is a picture of a fabulous tote bag created from recycled fabric by a work experience student, Lily, at our Leicester campus.
