Sky news

Today Sky News spoke to Jenny about the latest GDP figuresCEO Jenny commented “It was inevitable that we were going to slide into recession and I do think it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better with more redundancies as the Furlough scheme ends. Then there is always that awful Jan/Feb period where sales are low anyway. Let’s hope the Chancellor extends Furlough and also the “hope and opportunity” he talks about is a reality with additional AEB funding for technical courses. Thanks to Sky for coming today”

100% Success Rate on Gerber Courses

The Fashion Technology Academy has been running Gerber courses – beginners, advanced and one-to-one, for several years now and is thrilled to have received a 100% success rate. Previous Gerber learner Emily said:“I used to work as a tailor at E.Tautz and Ozwald Boateng on Savile Row and now I am working as a freelance Pattern Cutter for Simone Rocha. I see more companies require CAD pattern cutters than manual pattern cutters, so I realised that I needed to learn these new techniques.” The next 3-day Gerber course takes place 19th, 20th and 21st August. Pattern courses Level 1 & 2 are also on a rolling programme with places available.
